The origin of the Rombo candles can be traced back to a student's question in my class about candle-making. At that time, I provided a response along the lines of using a 3D print for the positive and creating a negative mold with silicone. This idea remained largely unchanged, though the intricacies revealed the devil in the details. However, after the class concluded, the question lingered in my mind, prompting me to delve deeply into the topic. I embarked on a journey of experimentation involving various waxes, silicones, wicks, and more. The summer of 2021 was devoted entirely to working with molten wax.

After about three months of rigorous experimentation, the project captured the attention of two graphic designers who were also working in the same studio as me at that time. This sparked the idea of transforming the concept into a full-fledged project. We collectively decided to ensure that each piece was unique by blending a variety of colors while utilizing the same mold. Ultimately, we produced over 160 candles, each characterized by colorful and joyful variations. The name "Rombo" emerged after an extensive search for a fitting title.

Remarkably, the 2021 and 2022 editions of Rombo candles sold out within just a few days, underscoring their remarkable popularity.
