Eliphant Lamp
When I saw the S14d LED tubes in an architecture studio hanging from the ceiling for the first time, I got the idea to create a table lamp using them. These tubes are shaped like cylinders and give off light all around them, which I really liked. I started to think about different ways to put these tubes together in a lamp for a room. Then I realized that the lamp could be about how we hold things. The way of holding the tubes upright became a key part of the lamp's design, and you can still see this in the lamp's porcelain body.
I made two versions of the lamp, one with a dimmer and one without, and I also tried out different colors. I named the lamp "Eliphant" because it looks a bit like an elephant's trunk. In Switzerland, kids often say "Eliphant" instead of "Elephant," and this matches the lamp's playful and easygoing character.
